Outdoor viewing

The TV has been set up under the grapefruit tree. Now all we need is a nice tablecloth and a thick piece of canvas to protect it from the searing sun during the day.

This is our evening sitting area and it's open to the night sky, stars and tonight's full moon.

That's my iced coffee on the table.

More time is spent talking than watching television in the summer but it does come in handy to see tennis and a bit of football.

  1. We have an outdoor fridge, and an outdoor music system, but I'd never thought of taking the TV outdoors.

    1. If you've got music you don't need TV. I don't miss all those news broadcasts and endless political debates at the moment

  2. That looks like a great way to enjoy watching Wimbledon. The way this 'summer' is going we'll be huddled round the stove glugging soup, to keep warm.

  3. Thank goodness we will actually see Wimbledon this year. We have a new national sports channel.
Hope you dry out a little!

  5. Love my frappe.
While in Greece a few years ago my cousin taught me how to make them and I’ve been addicted ever since
Sitting outside to watch the telly sounds like a great idea
But we have mozzies and I don’t like getting bitten at all!

  7. Ha! That wouldn't last long outside up here. Unless they make a waterproof TV 😏

  8. We can enjoy our back patio in the morning, but as it's on the west side of the house, it's awfully hot out there then. I love the outdoors, but prefer not to be part of the bake....

    1. We sit in the front of the house in the morning where there's no sun, inside in front of the fan at midday and after siesta we move to the back of the house when the sun has disappeared. I avoid the sun as much as I can.
Baking in the sun is for silly tourists only!!!

  9. I haven't sat outside yet this summer. I'm always gardening. I must learn to relax. Good idea to take the television outside.
