Poros Island

Poros got a plug on the news the other day
An island fisherman now takes tourists on his fishing boat.  They anchor off shore at one of the little bays, swim, fish and eat  seafood

The words under the photos say, loosely translated,
'The Captain who teaches tourists to enjoy the sea, fishing and greek hospitality'

  1. I hope to one day come back to Greece and Poros is on my list
Who knows. We might even meet up and have a long Greek lunch!
It looks beautiful. Just like the rest of the country

  2. I did exactly that on Kos several decades ago. We sailed over to some tiny deserted island, had a BBQ and plenty of Retsina, then sailed back to Kos in the dark. A truly memorable occasion.

    Isn't that the way???

    1. That always happens here! Just do what the other does, don't make any innovations yourself.

  6. A gorgeous film, put out, by the local Chamber of Commerce. :-)))))

Watch out! Your local taxes may go up! -grin-

    1. A smart video presentation put out by the island's council. Things always look better in adverts! Put taxes up, snort. They'd have to do a lot of improvements for the locals before they could justify that!
