Good things

Poppies, fields of poppies

I pick handfuls and spread the tops with seeds and petals around the wilder part of my garden in the hope they'll appear outside my window next spring

Chamomile.
They look like a white daisy but are much smaller and closer to the ground

Little beds of chamomile are appearing in the fields as well, sweet smelling if you crush a little.  Time to pick and dry some for next winter

Swallows are swooping round the house at dusk.  Too fast for me to photo

  2. Beautiful poppies!

    "...a camomile bed,
    The more it is trodden
    The more it will spread"

They are pretty little flowers, though I can't stand the smell or taste of the tea.

    1. What a delightful rhyme. Certainly the more it is trodden the more the smell will spread!

    1. I haven't heard a cuckoo here. Looked up on Google and Greece of course does have cuckoo's.
K says he has heard them. Must keep my ears open

    1. I'm thinking of digging some up and planting them in the garden too. Would really love to have those red poppies next year. I remember you posted a photo of a field of poppies near you...magnificent

  7. Most of the winter colours comes from the orange nasturtium flowers, or the yellow clover/oxalsi. Love the nasturtiums could do without the oxalis

  8. I hope they all take for you.
The camomile would be lovely for hot herbal tea during the winter months
Poppies to me just mean Anzac Day is coming
