Looks picture perfect- would make a great jigsaw with the shape of the inlet, the sloping flow of the land and the rounded shapes on the patio. I'm a plain drinker too.
I have never tried a lime. My brother tells me they're very good. I bought one once, it was very expensive and had no juice. Good for you ! I'll stick to the lemons. We have so darn many
The cold water with lemon juice sounds good - my main drink is cold water with a couple of drops of apple cider vinegar. Lemons are just starting to ripen so must try that.
That terrace has a wonderful view. I would sit there with binoculars. You can see right down to the old farm house by the sea, across the valley and the lights of Athens at night
I make filter coffee and when it cools a bit put it in the fridge so I have cold coffee all day. It lasts through to the next morning if I make enough.
That's just 20m?! 20m straight up (vertical) surely. We meant to comment the fist time you posted the pic of your view and remarked about the overgrowing olive tree - we through they prune every year to improve the crop. You couldn't motivate the owner to go in for a bit of regular crop improvement in order to improve your view? Must admit that terrace up the hill is to die for isn't it?
20 metres up and 20 metres west, or is it east. Makes a big difference. The olive tree has an absentee owner and we could prime it and did a few years ago but it's a big job. Needs chainsaw and ladders and someone younger than us. I asked the olive pickers to cut it down a little but they are only interested in the olives. Never mind Ti na kanoume

I write. I create. I observe and record my life, after 40 years, in Greece. I love to create either with my handy craft, cooking or writing. Freeform always. Keep it simple, keep the interest, make it useful. I write about my garden sometimes, my grandchildren and the different culture and traditions. My New Zealand up bringing was so different from this way of life that I do truly feel like an alien at times. Greece is home but so is my kiwi 'homeland'. I am a citizen of both and an alien in both.
Wow what a view! Beautiful. There is just something so relaxing about looking out over the ocean.
ReplyDeleteYou can see the lights of Athens at night and the lights of passing ships. Terrific view
DeleteLooks picture perfect- would make a great jigsaw with the shape of the inlet, the sloping flow of the land and the rounded shapes on the patio.
ReplyDeleteI'm a plain drinker too.
In summer alcohol just makes me even hotter. Sometimes I have a cold wine in the evening
DeleteThat is a beautiful view, well worth the saunter up the road.
ReplyDeleteIt's just higher up enough to rise up over all those trees. Worth the visit
DeleteCold water and lemon juice is perfect for the Summer heat. My favourite is cold water, ice and lime juice.
ReplyDeleteI have never tried a lime. My brother tells me they're very good. I bought one once, it was very expensive and had no juice. Good for you !

The cold water with lemon juice sounds good - my main drink is cold water with a couple of drops of apple cider vinegar. Lemons are just starting to ripen so must try that.
ReplyDeleteI used to drink water with apple cider vinegar but found lemon juice more palatable. Good on you. Very healthy
DeleteI hope they didn't have to carry you home after TWO of those. I drink diluted Lemon juice (bottled) every day at lunchtime; lots of it.
ReplyDeleteWell done for your lemon juice.
DeleteLuckily the return was down hill so they just gave me a push and collected me at the bottom hic
Sounds like a good way to pass some time - fab views, cool breezes, good company, and chilled water :)
ReplyDeleteIt was a great evening although the mice in the grapevine did make a bit of noise and the frogs
DeleteMy favorite drink is water with lemon. I just squeeze a lemon and add water. Several times a day, every day.
ReplyDeleteI don't like plain water but just a squeeze of lemon makes a big difference.
DeleteAt least you drink it all year round.
What a fantastic view. Lucky people.
ReplyDeleteThat terrace has a wonderful view. I would sit there with binoculars. You can see right down to the old farm house by the sea, across the valley and the lights of Athens at night
DeleteCold water and lemon sounds really refreshing. It's getting too hot for my black coffee in the morning.
ReplyDeleteI make filter coffee and when it cools a bit put it in the fridge so I have cold coffee all day. It lasts through to the next morning if I make enough.

Lemon water is wonderfully refreshing
ReplyDeleteThe view is to die for. I’d waste so much time just sitting and watching the water everyday
It's a perfect summer view
