I think I'd pass on the goats feet and tripe, thanks all the same. We are having smoked salmon and scrambled eggs for breakfast. Darn. Forgot to buy the OJ for the bucks fizz!!
I’m with you. That soup is not on my list of favourite foods. And to think you fast for so long only to have that. Yuck lol Looks like your all ready to go. And to next year with health
I hate the smell of it. Thank goodness he's cooking outside. Hope the cats don't get it though. Health is what we want. If you ain't got that you don't have anything
We all love the look of that fireplace you are cooking the spanakopita in. The soup doesn't appeal but then what would the Greeks make of, say, mutton birds? (Or breakfasting on leftover curry....) Have a really great Christmas- you have been prepzring long enough and super well for it. Xxx Mr T and F
I am so envious of everyone else's food. Thank goodness I cook chicken, stuffing, sprouts and Yorkshire puds for the other half of the family. (the half kiwi side who I've brought up with other tastes)
Looks good... I'll come to eat :-))) of course I'll bring something with me... how about bread :-) fresh from the oven :-)))) Or Dresden Christmas Stollen. Warm regards to you. I wish you a Merry Christmas.

Catching up!

Oh dear, nearly six months since I last posted a blog. It is not that I
have been bothered to write to you. Oh no. It is because words have been
absent ...
I write. I create. I observe and record my life, after 40 years, in Greece. I love to create either with my handy craft, cooking or writing. Freeform always. Keep it simple, keep the interest, make it useful. I write about my garden sometimes, my grandchildren and the different culture and traditions. My New Zealand up bringing was so different from this way of life that I do truly feel like an alien at times. Greece is home but so is my kiwi 'homeland'. I am a citizen of both and an alien in both.
Oh no, tripe for breakfast? My father loved the stuff but it's not for me :))
ReplyDeleteWishing you all a happy and safe Christmas Day. Cheers Linda, Mxx
