It's all Greek to you....
This is the playground sign
Opening hours
8.30am to 11.30pm
Good little English or Kiwi children would be in bed by 8 or 9? I wonder if it's still like that, or even those times have changed.
11.30 is actually quite early for Midsummer here. 1am would be more like it. Hot sultry evenings are for adults to socialise and children to play. Early morning hours are the coolest
Those Ukranian children I said were so well behaved.....
they actually generally are. We saw them all eating in the restaurant today. No screaming or complaining.
Friends who stay in the same building as them say they let off a lot of steam thundering up and down the stairs.
Just regular kids

My first comment privé was from England. She says over there they lock the gates as soon as it gets dark
ReplyDeleteDifferent culture and usually a different climate 😅 not so much this summer so I hear
DeleteWe have a children's playground quite nearby. It opens at 8 am and closes at 8 pm.
ReplyDeleteMediterranean countries dance to a different rhythm
DeleteChildren are the same children all over the world. At some point they need to get their energy out.
ReplyDeleteThey have fun in the water and dig great holes in the sand and bury each other. Definitely the same all over the world
DeleteWe saw some children in Russia who were perfectly behaved in the restaurant and then did the same, ran around the hotel corridors with much shouting and screaming, until my hubby had had enough and went out and yelled at them!!
ReplyDelete😅😅children will be children wherever they are
DeleteI used to love the after dark walk with friends and their kids to a playground in the middle of Korydallos. The metro extension and redevelopment really made their central plaza a lovely place to hang out on those 'sultry' evenings. And good for kids' energy.
