It's time to get the barnacles off the bottom of our fishing boats
Arion, the other family fishing caique, was scraped and freshly painted for the summer fishing season
Here she is sleek and shiny afloat in Neorion Bay
And here's 'Danae' about to have her bottom scraped
Inspection by Captain K
Scraped and ready for painting but the 'mastora' is ill so she'll wait and dry out a little before receiving her final paint job
Back at work. The first undercoat being applied.
Hopefully there will be two more photos soon of two little boats bobbing again in the bay
All very smart and ship-shape.
ReplyDeleteThey are very smart now. Hope they are attractive to fish too 😅
DeleteMore fantastic photos from Paradise.
ReplyDeleteLovely winter photos. It's nice in the summer but empty beaches and quiet days are most enjoyable
DeleteEverything in its season - you know summer is on the way when bottoms start being scraped! :)
ReplyDelete😅 bottoms seem to attract all sorts of foreign stuff
DeleteReally nice boat. I kind of miss ours since we sold it but hopefully the new owner can use it more than we did.
ReplyDeleteI think ours will have to be sold too. More repairs are being done than fishing. You had some great fishing trips. Bet you miss it
DeleteLovely little fishing boats. And so well looked after.
ReplyDeleteMay your fishing season be a bountiful one.
If K goes fishing!! He doesn't go out very often now
DeleteBeautiful. It's a dream of many to have a small fishing boat on a Greek island.
ReplyDeleteIt used to be my husband's dream too. The boat I mean. He used to go out almost daily but he's enjoying eating fish now that others have caught
DeleteWe noticed you said boys and boats but will you be going out in either of them at any stage - just to supervise like? xxx Mr T
ReplyDeleteI don't like small boats. Clamouring in and out are the worst parts but they're also noisy and smelly. I just like the fish
DeleteGoodness, that looks like a lot of work! But the rewards…..yeah, I could enjoy a little trip on that beautiful bay……. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteOne son in law has a water taxi. Much more enjoyable for a trip on the water
