Photos. Poros

An inventive way to keep the flies off  the fish. Tassels on  rotating rope

But this is where we mostly buy our fish.  Straight from the kaïki of cousin Tassos

If we disappear for quarter of an hour he'll gut and scale them too

An imaginative light shade at a harbour side taverna

    1. Locally caught and locally eaten, by me. Cleaned by someone else and cooked by someone else. The best

    1. Straight from the boat into the pan. They were delicious and the cats crunched on the bones

I’m really craving fresh fish now but our best shop to get it from is outside our ten kilometres so I have to wait

    1. We do get on TV now and again. There was a Greek company here last month. They usually gloss over us though and go onto Hydra

    1. I'm always surprised when I find something different to photo. It's usually the same scenes over and over again

  5. Some friends of ours from Barbados have been visiting their home here. They are now in Santorini, as the wife found it too cold here. I hope it's warmer in Santorini.

  6. Before i read the light fixture remark i was turning the tablet around to better view the upside down picture of bottles on a table! 🤪We got cod straight from the boat like that in Christiansø. I guess the only thing fresher is catch it yourself and cook it on the boat! Brilliant.

    1. K used to go out fishing and we got it straight from his pail to the pan. He's lost interest recently

  7. And that’s a novel way of keeping yourself safe - wear your mask on your chin and under your nose

    1. Because it's an open air market I don't think he has to wear a mask but yup, if he's going to make an effort at least do it properly!

    1. Hope the bottles are all firmly attached.
Would be a bit of surprise to wake up with that over your head. An upside down world, enough to turn a person sober

  9. I really like the upside down bottles and I haven't heard about the tassels keeping the flies away from the fish, hope it works.

  10. Very prudent going for a short walk so your fish is gutted and scaled! Clever thinking there.
