Flying Cat

The catamaran, called the Flying Cat, leaves the harbour

It's the event of our morning if we have gone down to the harbour for shopping and coffee.  From our favourite cafe, the T-Cafe, we watch while the cat comes in and observe who embarks and disembarks.

All the little water taxis have to move out into the bay to make room for the catamaran to dock.

Once upon a time we would be expecting summer visitors and be on the quay ourselves waiting for the appearance of  family heads at the top of the gangplank.  Not last summer and not this summer either.

    1. It was full which surprised me greatly. Not many English tourists allowed yet , must have been russian, or scandies. Maybe they were starting off on yacht holidays.

    1. You should ask Yael about the late Edmund. He was the original Flying Cat.
Flying Cats travel oversea. Get ready for the biggest adventure!

  4. It looks a state of the art sailing machine. Is the fare expensive?

    1. It's around 25euros one way and takes one hour. The normal boat costs 12 euros and takes 2 hours.
Locals get a lot of their fares refunded. We no longer travel by boat or Catamaran. Roads have improved so much. We go over to the mainland by car ferry,7 euros, and go to Athens by car, if we really have to

  5. Looks like a comfortable way to travel. We got a boat many years ago between Crete and Santorini and it wallowed around like a cork, I have never been so seasick! We get a cat type boat here between Sorrento and Queenscliff, takes 45 mins and is really smooth, a pleasant trip.

    1. Those old boats did wallow and they took twice the time to get to their destination. Santorini is something like 4 hours on the big Cats

  7. It's a very swish looking boat, I could watch boats coming and going all day. I might even book a table 'permanently' at that Café.

    1. It's the perfect place for people watching. All of Poros and half the rest of the world passes by. And the beers are cold and the ouzo comes with octopus

  8. People watching is amusing, especially when you see how people treat each other, makes us laugh sometimes.

    1. We saw a one-off yesterday. A lady at the next table jumped up to help an old lady wheel her suitcase down to the water taxi. Most (me) would just sit and watch and sip coffee. Bravo to her

  12. I was diagnosed as HEPATITIS B carrier in 2013 with fibrosis of the
liver already present. I started on antiviral medications which
reduced the viral load initially. After a couple of years the virus
became resistant. I started on HEPATITIS B Herbal treatment from
ULTIMATE LIFE CLINIC (www.ultimatelifeclinic.com) in March, 2020. Their
treatment totally reversed the virus. I did another blood test after
the 6 months long treatment and tested negative to the virus. Amazing
treatment! This treatment is a breakthrough for all HBV carriers.
