Family Feasting

Happy family

The immediate family indulging in some feasting

Smile, you're on candid camera

Remembering the rest of our extended family missing from this feast
Cheers big ears
Same goes big nose

A cup of 'tea' anyone

Nana, enough with the photos

Perched around the table

O Tzatzikios...the boy who loves tzatziki

And the men party on

Eat, play, work
Sorting out the store cupboard, putting away the summer paraphernalia .

Treadmill games
How far can you run further in 5 minutes.  Whose gonna win?  Well, that's obvious, that one at the back with the longest legs.  The game kept them out of mischief for half an hour.

    1. Only eleven of us. My sis in law was missing but of course so were all my family from Australia, NZ and England. We often have 25, family and other. Too darn many at one time

  3. Love the gatherings! Treadmill games sound like fun, and something we could do too.

    1. All the kids love it and the treadmill gets rid of all that pent up energy and keeps them from squabbling. Mind you they are pretty good at entertaining themselves anyway. Making go carts, playing in the fields next door and chasing the neighbourhood cats

  4. Looks like a fun-filled, and friendly, home. I think you'll need a bigger table soon!

    1. When we first got this table it seemed gigantic but with 12 or 13 (immediate family) around the darned thing it seems to have shrunk!

  5. A wonderful family feast, despite those snails! How many children do you keep in your store cupboard? My grandchildren would turn it into a den.
    Who did the washing up?

    1. The kids love that store cupboard. It is a space above the bathroom and most greek houses have these little hide aways. They often spend hours up there though it is a furnace in the summer and freezing in the winter and there's quite a bit of 'stuff' up there too.
Who did the washing up? Only a mother and grandmother could ask that question. We do have a small dishwasher but there are still baking dishes and bowls and pots. Poor old Elli, my eldest daughter usally ends up at the sink. They have been trained well over the years but we're hoping the next generation will soon be ready to take over - they already help
