Just a well worn pair of sandals. Except that, my grandaughter pointed out that one is size 40 and one size 41. I hadn't even noticed!
I bought two pairs of these, it seems in two different sizes.
Heroic ants 'man'-handled these pieces of dry cat food up a wall and into their nest somewhere on the edge of the garden. It's amazing what team work can do and at double pace too.
Dicing banana skins which I then turned to mush in a blender and fed to the tomato plants. I saw no difference and have thrown most of the tomato plants in the compost. What a waste of space and water. Tomatoes are 1 euro a kilo at the farmer's market just now.
I know what you mean about growing tomatoes. Especially when you can buy vegetables for 49 Cents from a certain German supermarket and garden centre. At least we can laugh about it Linda.
ReplyDeleteBravo for this German supermarket. Hope we can visit again soon
DeleteI wish we could buy tomatoes for that price. Ours are twice that price and taste of cotton wool. Can't wait until we have a garden where we can grow our own.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a very good gardener but I always try. Winter lettuces do much better
DeleteFeed the banana skins to your roses or that bougainvillaea instead
ReplyDeleteI'll do just that. Thanks
DeleteAnts are so amazing....and so annoying when they enter the house :-) Each summer we get them, but it does force us to keep the kitchen immaculate!
ReplyDeleteThe ants drive us crazy. We are exactly the same. Anything edible has to be stored away and all crumbs cleaned up at once.
DeleteEveryone has one foot slightly bigger than the other.
ReplyDeleteYour a very clever to “accidentally “ get two different sizes.
Well that would be my story and I’d stick to it lol
I'm amazed that I didn't notice. The difference in size is not that great
DeleteI always put banana skins around the roses.
ReplyDeleteI'll put them around ours now too
DeleteMy wife recently bought some shoes that said the size on a hook. When she got home she found a different size on the actual shoes. Luckily they fit.
ReplyDeleteI've done that before. I usually check but not this time
DeleteIsn't it always the way, you grow the tomatoes and when they are finally ready they are cheap in the shops. Home grown do taste better though I think. My Mum used to slice up banana skins and pit the mon the roses, then that changed to putting them in a bucket of water and using the liquid after a time as general fertiliser. Hope your sandals are matched up now.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I'll put them on a bucket of water too. Sounds easier
DeleteLOL had to giggle at your different shoe sizes - almost as bad as wearing odd socks! :))
ReplyDeleteDidn't realise a thing!
DeleteI have white Birkenstocks exactly like that - both size 40, but you made me look and check just in case! -Jenn
ReplyDeleteThat style has been very popular for a few years now. Birkenstocks are 50 euros and these are 5 euros, still very comfortable though.
DeleteThat's funny about your shoes, hey they were clearly comfortable :) Yes, ants are fascinating to watch as long as they aren't in your kitchen removing food there! Regarding tomatoes I've never bothered to grow them for the simple reason that they are dirt cheap at the time they ripen! All that effort and they nearly give them away in peak season.
ReplyDeleteAnts are a big problem. Can't keep anything on the bench. They'll find it in minutes. Dang em
DeleteI didn't know you could give banana to tomato plants, I'm guessing it's the Potassium? I've previously worn sandals like yours and they are so comfy.
ReplyDeleteThe sandals very comfortable even though they are cheapies. This is their third summer.
DeleteAnd yes, potassium. My sis in law says it should help set the flowers
Tomatoes are so cheap at the laiki in Crete and though they often don't look perfect they taste it. Love your odd sandals and they would fit me perfectly as one foot is bigger than the other. They would fit me perfectly - as they probably did you!
ReplyDeleteThey did fit fine. Very comfortable indeed.
DeleteAnd yes, tomatoes aren't always tasty. We have a favourite grower at our local market.
I was diagnosed as HEPATITIS B carrier in 2013 with fibrosis of the
ReplyDeleteliver already present. I started on antiviral medications which
reduced the viral load initially. After a couple of years the virus
became resistant. I started on HEPATITIS B Herbal treatment from
ULTIMATE LIFE CLINIC (www.ultimatelifeclinic.com) in March, 2020. Their
treatment totally reversed the virus. I did another blood test after
the 6 months long treatment and tested negative to the virus. Amazing
treatment! This treatment is a breakthrough for all HBV carriers.
