Fingers crossed. We haven't forgotten about the magazines BTW- your email I can't find (mine appears on the line at the top of the page) so I figured I might one day take a ferry to Poros, drop a bundle at the green chair cafe with 'local/kiwi/alien' written on the outside and tell them you will eventually pick them up. I'd warn you first of course and it won't be for a while as I have a couple of finish. Mr T won't be happy - he likes lying on the open one I leave lying on the other side of the bed each evening.
This day will come lol. Would love to see you and magazines at the green chairs. Our partial lockdown has been extended for one more week. I imagine it will go on for a while yet.
As from 4 am this morning, people returning to the UK from France have to spend 14 days indoors. Can you believe it; people were rushing back to Blighty to get back before 4 am, just to avoid the isolation, as if that would ensure they didn't have any virus. What idiots!
Idiots everywhere. There's a 15 km on our Albanian border for the same reason. Albanians rushing back to work. And bringing the virus with them. Our partial lockdown has been extended for another week
Although I find the fabric masks my daughter in law made me much more comfortable than the ones I get at work, it's a drag to have to wash them so often. Guess I'll have to cough up some more dough for some extras.

Catching up!
-
Oh dear, nearly six months since I last posted a blog. It is not that I
have been bothered to write to you. Oh no. It is because words have been
absent ...
I write. I create. I observe and record my life, after 40 years, in Greece. I love to create either with my handy craft, cooking or writing. Freeform always. Keep it simple, keep the interest, make it useful. I write about my garden sometimes, my grandchildren and the different culture and traditions. My New Zealand up bringing was so different from this way of life that I do truly feel like an alien at times. Greece is home but so is my kiwi 'homeland'. I am a citizen of both and an alien in both.
It is good it is only a short lockdown. Maybe it will give people the reminder they need not to barge you and wear a mask. Be safe!
ReplyDeleteThe lockdown has been extended but it's not too bad. Cafes and tavernas are still open, not that we go to either just now
DeleteSame here, mask chucked next to the car keys.
ReplyDeleteI should put my bike keys in there too . Can't move without either, plus the hlemet
DeleteSame here.
ReplyDeleteWe have a pile of masks now. I can pick and choose colours and shapes.
DeleteFingers crossed. DeleteMasks in the car - I have to walk past it to retrieve one if I’m going somewhere on foot.
ReplyDeleteI would surely forget unless I had them in front of me!!
DeleteWe are the same here, on the bench by the car keys.
ReplyDeleteI have 2 in my bag as well in case I forget. Essentials now! Here and there and almost everywhere
DeleteMasks in the car here but not worn yet.
ReplyDeleteWe have to wear them whenever we walk out the door, till 24 August. I hope you don't come to that
DeleteAs from 4 am this morning, people returning to the UK from France have to spend 14 days indoors. Can you believe it; people were rushing back to Blighty to get back before 4 am, just to avoid the isolation, as if that would ensure they didn't have any virus. What idiots!

Love the hat LA. Is it a Panama?
ReplyDeleteIt's a real Panama. We bought it online a few years ago
DeleteStill in stage four lockdown
ReplyDeleteAnd they are now talking about having to wear masks even up to Christmas
Don’t see an end to all this anytime soon
Yes they are saying another 6 months here too. Darn it
