Thursday Work Day

 Holy Thursday.... work day

Traditionally the day to dye all those eggs.  Traditionally the colour is red

Chief Easter Bunny

Traditional day for traditional koulourakia too
The little easter bunnies getting into action, Nels and Poppi

Factory line

Because they've got butter and eggs they not supposed to be eaten till after midnight on Saturday
I can assure you they're delicious, buttery, crisp on the outside, orangey and aromatic

The Easter bunnies had a Nana-list
Moving round the heavy pots in the garden and doing some pruning
Changing the duvet cover
Searching out stuff at the back of the cupboard
Scrubbing a few winter rugs

Poppi doing what she's told to by her big sister
Poppi says she is NOT doing what her sister is telling her to do. Pritz! NEVER

They cleaned up everything before they left, did all the dishes, hung the rugs over the gate to drip dry. I was exhausted just watching them

Grandkids grow up and move on. It's absolutely wonderful when they return

  2. I love all my grandsons, but none of them bake cakes for me, or sweep my rugs. Where did we go wrong!

  3. Those koulourakia look professional. How do you not eat them fresh and warm?

    1. I eat them fresh and warm and so does most of the family. It's the Patriarch who keeps the tradition alive

  4. When they're little, grandchildren come when their parents bring them, and enjoy their visits. When they grow up, they come because they wish to and they enjoy helping, too.(or taking over!!)

    1. That's it! They do seem to enjoy themselves and they wouldn't come if they didn't. Taking over, you're right there too, smile

  5. (I’m crossing fingers again- not sure where my comments are going but it’s not on your blog)

You’ve definitely got them well trained😊.

One of my grandsons just gave us another gt granddaughter today. He was hoping for a son but I’m sure he’ll love his little girl in the same way. Showing her off at the footy club next weekend I bet!
