A message on Facebook from the Municipality of Epidavros
Epidavros is a picturesque little fishing village on the coast just down the road and round the corner from us. There is a collection of villages around here with the same name
Ancient Epidavros and its magnificent theatre
Epidavros Port
New Epidavros
Here's what they say........
A lot of news coming out of the Middle East lately. We've had a few questions about the atmosphere in Greece. It's important to clear up any misconceptions
Geography..

OK .. I'm on my way ...
ReplyDeleteSunshine for at least the next week! Roast pork on the snack menu at our favourite cafe. Get that bag out and get your skates on
DeleteRoast pork during Lent?!
DeleteFor the heathens only lol
DeleteExcellent advertisement.
ReplyDeleteI had forgotten about Easter actually. Everyone will be wanting to make money. I wonder if foreign visitors will come as they usually do
DeleteI wish.
ReplyDeleteEaster school holidays here are 27 March to 10 April so prepare for the holidaymakers. Today's Sunday papers are promoting holidays on the Med for Easter you will be pleased to know.
ReplyDeleteI am pleased to know that. I might complain about crowds here but we need them. The foreign tourists come first with their earlier Easter and then the Greeks. It's a lucrative time of the year
DeleteI’m sure there are lots of countries that have noticed a drop of tourists visiting.
ReplyDeleteI’m not a very good Greek. I don’t like honey.
I’ll let the bees keep it
You don't like honey! Don't worry there are plenty of other sweets here! As you know. The baclava is usually made with sugar syrup
DeleteSadly we have cancelled our Europe (and parts of the Middle East) holiday. There was going to be just too much money invested that would not be covered by travel insurance if there was war or conflict. It ended up being a stress that we didn't need.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering about you! Sorry to hear you've cancelled. I'd probably do the same.
DeleteIt's good to know that you're safe. My son has just gone to Egypt for a holiday.... I told him to take a flack jacket!!!
ReplyDeleteI know Egypt is not in the conflict but it's even closer than we are. I'd be a bit nervous. But there are some terrific resorts there.
DeleteGood to hear you will all be ok. Who knows what might happen these days. I would love to come and have another holiday in Greece, maybe one day!
ReplyDeleteIt's a long way to come and more difficult now you can't fly through Dubai. But things change. As you say, maybe one day
