Xmas Decos

Xmas decorations are up and ready for a holly, jolly Christmas this year.

Some of the decorations have memories. This is a star cousin Rosie put in with a CD of her music

Many many years ago it was hard to find anything xmassy here. I couldn't find a star but came up with this poinsettia flower. It has topped our tree for over 30  years. Every year it's placed on the top by a different grandchild.
This year the grandchild in line for the honour wasn't available so I did the honour, helped carefully onto a small IKEA step by a granddaughter.

A star from a friend in South Africa. A piece of  native art

The Christmas tree in all it's glory

The decorated window sill

Big red balls hanging from the rafters
Put up by young athletic grandchildren leaping up onto tables and benches.

Santa's official suit.
Including his beard

  1. Did Santa get saturated in the rain and he needed to change his costume at your house LA?

    1. What rain???? You mean rein 😂
The reindeer are outside scaring the wild goats and keeping the cats off the hot tiled roof, while Santa has a glass or two of raki. Mrs Claus sent an extra Santa suit in case he gets pork grease on the one he's wearing now

  3. Thank goodness the grandchildren still decorate. In a few years time I can see the decorations being very simple. I actually put up a few extras myself this year. A little bit of Xmas cheer.

  4. You are so very blessed to have the grandchildren come by and help out. I hope mine will do the same in the future.
Here’s to next year with good health

    1. Having the children help makes it less a chore. Won't be long before yours are dragging outcall the boxes and doing the work

  5. Your tree looks great, as do all your decor! We went very minimalist this year, as I wasn’t willing to constantly have to remove the puppy from our Christmas tree, haha. He hears “No!” often enough!
