  1. Blue and white ... a beautiful combination. Especially on your sun-kissed island.

  2. We have a friend here who lives in a very nice all white terrace. Her new neighbour has painted his house egg-yolk YELLOW; including the door and windows. Everyone is furious. It's so much better when everyone agrees on a colour scheme.

    1. A few yellow houses have popped up here. I think they may have wanted terracotta but they haven't repainted. It's one way of directing someone to your house in that rabbit Warren in the old town. Follow the light. Some islands have laws for house colours. Not ours

    1. She looks straight down to the sea. A 2 minute walk for a quick swim. She's very lucky

  6. Very fresh (much better than black which is very popular atound here at present!) - bright and sunny. And probably helps keep insides cool in summer (unlike black). Greek colours just shout 'sunshine' at me.

    1. White is supposed to reflect heat. Don't know whether that actually works. But the whitewash is easy upkeep

    1. They say Greece is the land of the blue sea and sky and most of the cycladic islands will only allow those colours to paint houses
