Blue and white ... a beautiful combination. Especially on your sun-kissed island.
ReplyDeleteReal Greek colours
DeleteThat's beautiful, idyllic.

DeleteWe have a friend here who lives in a very nice all white terrace. Her new neighbour has painted his house egg-yolk YELLOW; including the door and windows. Everyone is furious. It's so much better when everyone agrees on a colour scheme.
ReplyDeleteA few yellow houses have popped up here. I think they may have wanted terracotta but they haven't repainted. It's one way of directing someone to your house in that rabbit Warren in the old town. Follow the light. Some islands have laws for house colours. Not ours
DeleteI love the colours of Greece!!!
ReplyDeleteThose mainly blue and white houses are very picturesque
DeleteI love the blue and white pictures. Your daughter has a lovely terrace and view. A real Greek!
ReplyDeleteShe looks straight down to the sea. A 2 minute walk for a quick swim. She's very lucky
DeleteIt really is the perfect colour combination for Greece.
ReplyDeleteI see the evil eye is everywhere, no need to spit
I wear evil eye earrings!!
DeleteVery fresh (much better than black which is very popular atound here at present!) - bright and sunny. And probably helps keep insides cool in summer (unlike black). Greek colours just shout 'sunshine' at me.
ReplyDeleteWhite is supposed to reflect heat. Don't know whether that actually works. But the whitewash is easy upkeep
DeleteI love the colours of Greece. The white and blue go perfect with the sea and the mountains.
ReplyDeleteThey say Greece is the land of the blue sea and sky and most of the cycladic islands will only allow those colours to paint houses
DeleteThose colors & our memories of Greece bring a smile to my face. Terrific pics! DL
ReplyDeleteSantorini is famous for it's blue and white but its everywhere in Greece
